Q. What forms of sedation do you offer at Southcoast Smiles?
A. We go to great lengths to keep our patients relaxed and pain-free, offering many levels of sedation, including Oral, IV, and Nitrous Oxide (“Laughing Gas”). From the gentle staff to the quiet environment, we create an atmosphere that removes anxiety and apprehension. And because our patients are able to achieve relaxation for an extended time, we can often erase years of dental neglect in a single visit.
Q. Are you accepting new patients?
A. YES! And we always will. Our dentistry is both beautiful and durable, which means our patients often need only regular cleanings once they’ve received any required treatment. As a result, we can always accommodate new patients – whether emergency, restorative or for simple maintenance. Meeting new people and helping them find the smiles they deserve is one of the things we love most about our profession!
Q. Which insurances do you accept?
A. We are preferred providers for most major insurance companies and work well with virtually all of the plans in our region. More information can be found on our Insurance & Payment page. Q. I don’t have insurance. What are my options?
Q. Do you treat children?
A. Absolutely – children are a very important part of our office! A child’s first experiences with dentistry are crucial to their future dental health, so we specifically train our staff to work slowly and carefully with your child, creating an environment that eliminates fear and anxiety. We also equip all our treatment rooms with TV’s and headphones, making a familiar, comfortable setting where kids can watch their favorite cartoons as they a lifetime of oral health!
Q. When are you open?
A. We know how hectic your life can get when you’re trying to balance your work and personal schedule. We’ve made a commitment to provide convenient dentistry to meet your needs. We are open Monday through Saturday, with early morning and evening appointments available. Give us a call to schedule an appointment. We promise we’ll work with you to find a time that fits in your schedule.
Q. What exactly is a bridge?
A. Bridges can be an alternative to dentures. They restore the appearance and function of a space where a tooth is missing, making chewing easier and concealing the fact that you have lost a tooth. Unlike dentures, bridges are fixed in place so that they cannot be removed easily and many patients who switch from dentures to a bridge comment on how they enjoy increased confidence to laugh or smile without worrying about the bridge moving.
Q. Do you extract teeth?
A. We go to great lengths to save every tooth possible, but on occasion, teeth may be lost either due to decay or gum disease. When this need for an extraction arises, you can be assured that you will be completely comfortable.
Q. What do you charge for a simple cleaning?
A. At $98, we’re not the cheapest location for a cleaning, but we do like to think that we’re the best. You will find that our cost for basic services- feature for feature- to be unbeatable.
